Kerry Kunsman Road Safety Fund

The Bike Coalition and cycling community recently lost an amazing teacher, advocate and friend. Kerry Kunsman passed away on September 22nd as a result of injuries he received after being hit from behind by a pickup truck while bicycling in Oregon. Kerry was a Board Member and cycling instructor here at the Coalition, and has taught hundreds of people how to ride confidently and safely.

He will long be remembered for the tremendous care he invested in each of his students and his memorable laugh. What he brought to the bicycling world is much greater than the Bike Coalition and his larger-than-life legacy will live on.

His family has requested that donations in his memory be directed to the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition to establish a Road Safety Fund in his name. Click here to make a donation in memory of Kerry.
